Full Definition

غَذَوْتُهُI , Present.T أَغْذُوهُ, Verbal.Noun غَذْوٌ, I fed him, or nourished him, [for instance,] a child, with milk; and غَذَيْتُهُ signifies the same, unknown by J, and therefore disallowed by him, (K and TA in art. غذى,) but known by ISd: and so , Verbal.Noun تَغْذِيَةٌ, [but, accord. to SM.] in an intensive sense. And غَذَاهُ الطَّعَامُ, Present.T and Verbal.Noun as above, The food [nourished him, or] had an agreeable, a wholesome, or a beneficial, effect upon him, and sufficed him; namely, a child.
2 And [hence,] غُذُو بِلِبَانِ الكَرَمِ [They were fed, or nourished, by sucking the milk of generosity; meaning they derived generosity from their parents].

def.2 غَذَا بَوْلَهُ, and غَذَا بِهِ, Present.T and Verbal.Noun as above, He interrupted his urine; as also , Verbal.Noun تَغْذِيَةٌ. And غَذَا الكَلْبُ بِغَذًى [or بِغَذًا] The dog emitted urine in repeated discharges.

def.3 غَذَا, said of urine, It became interrupted: the verb being intrans. as well as trans.
2 And, Present.T يَغْذُو, Verbal.Noun غَذْوٌ and غَذَوَانٌ, It flowed; said of water, or, as some say, of anything, [or] of water or blood or sweat. [Thus,] as IKtt says, the verb has two contr. significations. It flowed with blood; Present.T as above, Verbal.Noun غَذْوٌ; said of a vein; as also , Verbal.Noun تَغْذِيَةٌ. And It flowed continually; Present.T as above; said of a wound.
3 And He went quickly. or swiftly; Present.T as above, Verbal.Noun غَذْوٌ and غَذَوَانٌ; said of a horse.
