غَمَدَهُI , Present.T ـِ and ـُ Verbal.Noun غُمْدٌ; and , Verbal.Noun إِغْمَادٌ; mentioned by AO, or by A'Obeyd, as two chaste forms; He put it into its غِمْد [i. e. scabbard, or sheath; he sheathed it]: or he made for it, or furnished it with, a غِمْد.
2 Hence, غَمَدَهُ بِكَذَا He covered him, or it, with such a thing; as though he made the latter a غِمْد to the former.
