غَاثَI , Present.T يَغِيثُ, Verbal.Noun غَيْثٌ, God watered the country, or countries, with rain. And غَاثَنَا He sent down rain upon us. And غاث الغَيْثُ الأَرْضَ, The rain fell upon the earth. And غِيثَتِ الأَرْضُ, Present.T تُغَاثُ, Verbal.Noun as above, The land was watered with rain. غِيثَ القَوْمُ The people were rained upon; rain fell upon the people [or upon their land]. And غِثَنْا مَا شِئْنَا [We were rained upon as much as we desired]: originally غُيِثْنَا.
