فصْفِصَةٌ and A certain plant; i. q. رَطْبَةٌ [a species of trefoil, or clover], a food for beasts, or horses and the like, before it dries up; after which it is called قَتّ: or i. q. قَتٌّ: or قَتّ in its fresh state: also written with س: originally, in Pers., إِسْفِسْتْ, or إِسْبِسْتْ, or إِسْبِسْتْ, or إِسْپِسْتْ: pl. فَصَافِصُ.
