قَرْبَانُ
A vessel nearly full: fem. قُرْبَى: and pl. قِرَابٌ: you say قَدَحٌ قَرْبَانُ
مَآءً i. e. [A drinking vessel] nearly full of water: and the ق in قربان is [said to be] sometimes changed into ك: so accord. to Yaakoob; but ISd denies this. (TA in art. كرب.)
