is also used in the sense of مَقْسُومٌ [meaning A thing, or collection of things, divided into portions, or shares]: a portion, or share; like قِسْمٌ: [and portions, or shares; as in the phrase,] نُخْرِجُ طَرِيقًا
مِنْ بَيْنِ قِسْمَةِ الأَرْضِ أَوِ الدَّارِ [We will exclude a way, or passage, from among the portions, or shares, of the land, or the house]. (Mgh in art. رفع.)
