كَبَابٌ i. q. طَبَاهَجٌ; i. e., Flesh-meat cut up [into small pieces] and roasted, or broiled; or thrown upon burning coals: [small morsels of meat, generally mutton or lamb, roasted on skewers]. Asserted by El-Khafájee to be Persian; and thought to be so by Yaakoob.
