Full Definition

كَدِيدٌ Ground trodden with the hoofs of horses or the like.
2 كَدِيدٌ Fine dust, trodden with the feet: fine dust, which, if trodden, flies about: dust of a racecourse.
3 Coarsely pounded salt. [Also,] The sound of coarsely pounded salt when it is poured out, one portion upon another.

def.2 A low, or depressed, tract of land, (بَطْنٌ, K, or بطين, L, as from A'Obeyd,) of wide extent, formed like a valley, or wider than a valley.
2 A rugged tract of land; as also كِدَّةٌ , with kesr, or ; so called because it fatigues him who walks upon it.
