Full Definition

لَأْلَأَ
R. Q. 1 and , It shone, glistened, or was bright: or shone with flickering light.
2 لألأتِ النَّارُ, Verbal.Noun لَأْلَأَةٌ, The fire burned brightly: and it blazed.
3 لألأ الدَّمْعَ, Verbal.Noun as above, He let fall the tears upon his cheeks like pearls.
4 لألأت بِعَيْنَيْهَا She opened her eyes wide, and looked intently.
5 لألأ بِذَنَبِهِ He (a bull, or a wild bull, ثَوْرٌ وَحْشِىٌّ, or an antelope, K), wagged his tail.
6 لَا آتِيكَ مَا لَأْلَأَتِ الفُورُ بِأَذْنَابِهَا, or لَا أَفْعَلُهُ, I will not come to thee, or I will not do it, while the gazelles wag their tails: [i. e., I will never come to thee]. A proverb.
7 لألأتِ العَنْزُ The she-goat, or doe, desired the male.
