Full Definition

لُوَاثَةٌ and لَوِيثَةٌ A company, an assembly, or a troop, of men, and of other animals.
2 لَوِيثَةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ A company, or an assembly, of people of different tribes; like لَبِيثَةٌ.

def.2 لُوَاثَةٌ One who, or a thing which, (الَّذِى: in the TA, الذر:) is befouled, or defiled, (يَتَلَوَّثُ) in anything.

def.3 لُوَاثَةٌ and لِوَاثٌ (the latter [in the CK لُوَاثٌ] is with kesr, and is mentioned in the L, without the former, on the authority of Fr, TA,) Flour [of wheat, &c.] which is sprinkled upon the table, beneath dough; to prevent the dough's adhering to the table.
