Full Definition

مِجْذَافٌ , in the K مِجْذَافَةٌ , but the former is the more proper, i. q. مِجْدَافٌ; The wing of a bird: and so with د. (Msb in art. جدف.)
2 And [hence, An oar; a paddle;] a certain thing with which a ship, or boat, is propelled.
3 And hence, as being likened thereto, A whip: and so with د. (TA in art. جدف.)
