مَحْفِلٌ
A place of collecting of water.
2 A place of assembling, or congregating, of a people; as also مُحْتَفَلٌ : or a place of assembling, or congregating, of many persons: or a place in which is an assembly, or congregation: and a sittingplace: pl. مَحَافِلُ.
3 [And The elevated platform for the مُبَلِّغُون in a mosque; also called دَكَّةٌ, vulg. دِكَّة, it is surrounded by a low railing or parapet, and generally supported by small columns.]
