Full Definition

مُدَوٍّ , applied to clouds (سَحَابٌ, S, K), Thundering: or vehemently, or loudly, thundering, and in a state of commotion.

2 [Hence,] أَرْضٌ مُدَوِّيَةٌ Land overspread with various herbage; as though it were the دُوَايَة of milk: or having abundant herbage of which nothing has been eaten.
3 And أَمْرٌ مُدَوٍّ An affair that is [as though it were] covered: or an affair of which one knows not what is behind it; as though it were covered and concealed by a دُوَايَة.
