Full Definition

مِرْجَامٌ [app. A sling; like مِرْجَمَةٌ;] a thing with which stones are cast; i. q. قَذَّافٌ [q. v.]: pl. مَرَاجِيمُ.
2 And A camel that stretches out his neck in going along: or that goes strongly, or vehemently; as though beating the pebbles (كَأَنَّهُ يُرْجُمُ الحَصَى) with his feet.
