Full Definition

مَرِسٌ A strong man: or a man strong, or vehement, in labour or exertion: and strong, experienced in affairs, and who has laboured, or exerted himself, in the management, or transaction, thereof: pl. أَمْرَاسٌ. You say also, إِنَّهُ لَمَرِسٌ حَذِرٌ, meaning, Verily he is strong in the waging of wars.
