مُسْتَطِيلٌ
: see طَوِيلٌ. الفَجْرُ المُسْتَطِيلُ is The first dawn; also called the false; and termed ذَنَبُ السِّرْحَانِ [the tail of the wolf], because it appears rising without extending laterally: opposed to المُسْتَطِيرُ. (TA in art. طير.)
