مُصْمِتٌ Tongue-tied; not speaking: applied to a sick man [when he is unable to speak]: and [signifies the same,] i. q. أَبْهَمُ and مُبْهَمٌ. (So in copies of the K in art. بهم. [In one of the explanations which I have given of مُبْهَمٌ in consequence of an omission , أَصْمَتُ is made syn. with مُصْمَتٌ.])
