مَضَبَّةٌ A piece of land abounding with [the lizards called] ضِبَاب [pl. of ضَبٌّ]: pl. مَضَابُّ: you say, وَقَعْنَا فِى مَضَابَّ [We found ourselves in pieces of land abounding with ضِبَاب]. And أَرْضٌ مَضَبَّةٌ, or , and , the last being one of those [reduplicative] words that preserve the original form, A land abounding with ضِبَاب.
