مَطْعُونٌ Smitten and pierced [&c.; see 1, first sentence]; as also طَعِينٌ : AZ says, the pl. [of the latter] is طُعْنٌ, and not طَعْنَى [like قَتْلَى].
2 Also Smitten by the طَاعُون [i. e. plague, or pestilence]; and so طَعِينٌ .
