مُطْلِعٌ A palm-tree (نَخْلَةٌ) putting forth its طَلْع [q. v.]; and sometimes they said مُطْلِعَةٌ.
2 And the latter, A palm-tree taller than the other palm-trees [around it or adjacent to it].
