Full Definition

مَعْنَقَةٌ A curved piece of rock.
2 And بَلَدٌ مَعْنَقَةٌ A country in which there is no abiding, by reason of the dryness and barrenness of the ground thereof: thus says Sgh: but in the Nawádir el-Aaráb it is said that بِلَادٌ means countries that are distant, or remote.
