مُفَوَّقٌ Food, and beverage, that is taken by little and little.

def.2 Applied to an arrow, [Having a notch made for the bow-string.
2 And] Having the bow-string put into its notch on the occasion of shooting: [see 4, last sentence:]
3 whence the saying, لَا زِلْتَ الخَيْرِ مُوَفَّقًا وَسَهْمُكَ فِى الكَرَمِ مُفَوَّقًا [Mayest thou not cease to be rightly disposed in beneficence, and thine arrow made ready with the bow-string put into its notch in generosity].
