مَنْثُورٌ

Full Definition

مَنْثُورٌ , and نَثِيرٌ , Pearls scattered, strewn, dispersed, or thrown dispersedly, with the hand. See also مُنْتَثِرٌ, and مُنَثَّرٌ. You say كَأَنَّ لَفْظَهُ الدُّرُّ [As though his speech were scattered pearls].
2 لَهُ كَرِشٌ مَنْثُورَةٌ He has [numerous] young children. (A, art. كرش.)
3 Also مَنْثُورٌ A kind of sweet-smelling flower; [the gilliflower: so called in the present day: see also خِيرِىٌّ.]
