مُنْقَادٌ and قَؤُودٌ and , without ء, and قَيِّدٌ and قَيْدٌ , [the last but one originally قَيْوِدٌ, and the last contracted from it,] like مَيِّتٌ and مَيْتٌ, and أَقْوَدُ , A horse, and a camel, tractable; submissive; easy. Ex. اِجْعَلْ فِى أَوَّلِ قِطَارِكَ بَعِيرًا قَيِّدًا [Place thou at the head of thy string of camels a camel that is tractable].
