Full Definition

نَزٌّ and نِزٌّ Water that exudes, or oozes, from the ground: or flowing moisture: the latter is the better word; and is [said to be] Persian, arabicized: the former is an Verbal.Noun used as a subst.
2 [The pl. is نُزُوزٌ, occurring in the TA in art. عذو.]
3 [The former is also used as an epithet: fem. with ة. You say,] أَرْضٌ نَزَّةٌ Ground, or land, having water exuding, or oozing, from it; syn. ذَاتُ نَزٍّ; as also .

def.2 [Hence, perhaps,] نَزٌّ also signifies liberal, bountiful, or munificent.

def.3 Also, نَزٌّ Much, or many.

def.4 A man light, or active, or light in spirit, sharp in mind, clever, or ingenious, and intel-ligent.
2 Light, inconstant, fickle, or unsteady: an epithet of dispraise.
3 A man much, or often, in motion; as also مِنَزٌّ : a man, and an ostrich, that does not remain still in one place: or that is quick, or swift, and does not remain still in one place: or an ostrich, and an antelope, that leaps, jumps, springs, or bounds: and a light, or an active, camel; and so نَزَّةٌ, applied to a she-camel.
