2 Also, A scout, or scouts; and so نَظُورَةٌ : pl. of both, نَظَائِرُ.
3 Fem. of نَظِيرٌ, q. v. . [And hence,] النَّظَائِرُ [the pl.] The more excellent of men: because they resemble one another in dispositions and actions and sayings.
