هَبَشَI , Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun هَبْشٌ, He collected a thing; as also هَبِشَ, Present.T ـَ: he collected; and gained or earned, or sought sustenance; as also تهبّش : or he practised some art or trade, to procure sustenance; and he exercised art, craft, cunning, or skill, in the management of his affairs: and and تهبّش he gained or earned, or sought sustenance; and collected; and exercised art, craft, cunning, or skill, in the management of his affairs: and هبّش , Verbal.Noun تَهْبِيشٌ, he collected much; syn. جمّع. You say, هُوَ يَهْبِشُ لِعِيَالِهِ He collects; and gains or earns, or seeks sustenance; for his family, or household; as also : or practises some art or trade, to procure sustenance for them; exercises art, craft, cunning, or skill, in the management of his affairs, for them. 2 هَبَشْتُهُ, Verbal.Noun as above, I obtained it, by collecting and gaining or earning. And مِنْهُ عَطَآءً He obtained from him a gift.
3 هَبَشَ الغَنَمَ, Verbal.Noun as above, [app. meaning He roused and scared the sheep or goats, and drove and collected them to some person or place,] is like نَجَشَ الصَّيْدَ.
