هَاثَI
, Present.T يَهِيثُ, Verbal.Noun هَيْثٌ and هَيَثَانٌ, He gave him a little, or something little in quantity. [See also حَثَا, in art. حثو.]
2 هَاثَ فِى كَيْلِهِ, Verbal.Noun هِيْثٌ, He gave little in his measure, or in his measuring; i. q. حَثَا, Verbal.Noun حَثْوٌ: it is like what is termed جِزَافٌ.

6 Also, [contr.,] He acted rightly with his property.
7 هَاثَ فِى شَىْءٍ He acted corruptly with a thing; and took it without gentleness; [as also عَاثَ].
8 هَاثَ الذِّئْبُ فِى الغَنَمِ The wolf did mischief among [or worried] the sheep, or goats; [as also عَاثَ].
