وَأَبَI , Present.T يَئِبُ, Verbal.Noun وَأْبَةٌ [app. a mistake for وَأْبٌ and إِبَةٌ], It was contracted in its edges, or in its fore edges. See وَأْبٌ.
2 وَأَبَ, Present.T يَئِبُ, Verbal.Noun وَأْبٌ and إِبَةٌ He contracted himself, or drew himself together, or shrank; and was ashamed.
3 وَأَبَ and He was ashamed, مِنْ شَىْءٍ of a thing.
4 وَأَبَ, Present.T يَئِبُ, i. q. انف [app. meaning He was disdainful].
