Full Definition

وَهِمَI , Present.T يَوْهِمُ, Verbal.Noun وَهْمٌ, He committed an error, or a mistake, in the reckoning, or calculation; as also فِيهِ: and committed an inadvertence therein. [And in like manner, فِى قَوْلِهِ in his saying.] It is said in a trad. of 'Alee, قَالَ الشَّاهِدَانِ إِنَّمَا السَّادِقُ هٰذَا or وَهِمْنَا accord. to different readings [The two witnesses said, We have committed a mistake, or misconception: the thief is only this].
2 وَهَمْتُ الشَّىْءَ, Present.T أَهِمُ, Verbal.Noun وَهْمٌ, [I thought of the thing;] the thing occurred in my mind. And وَهَمْتُ فِى الشَّىْءِ, or إِلَى الشَّىْءِ, Present.T as above, and so the Verbal.Noun, I thought of the thing, while desiring to think of another thing.
