زِفٌّ Small feathers of the ostrich, and of a bird of any kind: or small feathers, like down, beneath the thickset feathers: accord. to some, only of the ostrich: [pl., app., زِفَافٌ: see زَفَازِفُ.] One says أَلْيَنُ مِنْ زِفِّ النَّعَامِ [More soft than the small feathers of the ostrich].
