def.2 ارحبهُ He made it ample, spacious, wide, or roomy; as also رحّبهُ . El- Hajjáj said, when he slew Ibn-El-Kirreeyeh, أَرْحِبْ يَا غُلَامُ جُرْحَهُ [Make wide, O young man, his wound]. And one says, in chiding a horse or mare, أَرْحِبْ and أَرْحِبِى meaning Make room, and withdraw.
