أَمْطَرَIV see 1, in four places.
2 امطر ٱللّٰهُ السَّمَآءَ God made the sky to rain.
3 امطر المَكَانَ He found the place rained upon.
4 أَمْطَرْنَا We were in rain.

def.2 كَلَّمْتُهُ فَأَمْطَرَ, and , I spoke to him, and he lowered his eyes, looking towards the ground, (أَطْرَق, Mubtekir, A, K, [which also signifies he was silent, not speaking, but accord. to the TA, should not be so rendered here,]) and his forehead sweated.
