2 It also signifies, or is said to signify, A herd of gazelles, in number from thirty to forty; or from thirty upwards: or a number of buckgazelles collected together: or a number of أَوْعَال [or mountain-goats] collected together: or of اوعال such as are termed ثَيَاتِل: pl. أَمَاعِيزُ and أَمَاعِزُ.
