إِبَّانٌ

Full Definition

إِبَّانٌ The time, or season, of a thing: or the time of preparing, or making ready, of a thing: as, for instance, of fruit: it is of the measure فِعْلَانٌ, from أَبَّ in the first of the senses assigned to it above, the ن being augmentative; or of the measure فِعَّالٌ, from أَبَّنَ “he watched” or “observed” a thing, the ن being radical: but the former derivation is the more correct.
