ابيضّIX , and, by poetic license, اِبْيَضَضَّ, [of which see an ex. voce خَفَضَ, and see also 9 in art. حو,] Verbal.Noun اِبْيِضَاضٌ, It was, or became, white; contr. of اِسْوَدَّ; as also ابياضّ , Verbal.Noun اِبْيِيضَاضٌ;. contr. of اِسْوَادَّ; and : which ↓ last also signifies it became white, and dried up. [You say also, ابيضّ وَجْهُهُ, lit., His face became white: meaning his face became expressive of joy, or cheerfulness; or he became joyful, or cheerful: and also his character became cleared; or his honesty, or the like, became manifested: see 2.]
