اثلجIV
It was, or became, snowy.
2 He reached, came upon, or lighted on, snow; as also ثلج [written without any syll. signs, app. ]. He entered upon [a tract, or time, or season, of] snow.
3 أَثْلَجَتْنَا السَّمَآءُ: and أُثْلِجَتِ الأَرْضُ: see 1.
4 [Thus the verb is intrans. and trans. And hence,] أَثْلَجَتْ نَفْسِى: see 1.
5 And اثلجهُ
6 [Hence also,] حَفَرَ حَتَّى اثلج
7 اثلج مَآءُ البِئْرِ
def.2 إِثْلَاجٌ [the Verbal.Noun] is also syn. with إِفْلَاجٌ [inf.n. of أَفْلَجَ, q. v.].
