Full Definition

VIII The knot became tight, or firm. The necklace became fast upon his neck.
The thing became established in my mind, so that I did not doubt respecting it: and The matter became established in my mind. [See also اِحْتَكَى; and see اِحْتَكَّ in the first paragraph of art. You say also, سَمِعْتُ أَحَادِيثَ وَمَا احتكأ فِى صَدْرِى مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ (in the CK ما احكأ ) I heard stories, and nothing of them was unsettled in my mind. Had my case been manifest to me at the first, I had done thus.
