ـُ Verbal.Noun حَرْزٌ; or the latter is formed by substitution of a letter from حَرَسَهُ: or the former signifies he put it in a
حِرْز [q. v.]; and so ↓ the latter: and the former, he preserved it from being taken. You say, أَحْرَرَهُ فِى
وِعَائِهِ [He kept, or preserved, it in his, or its, receptacle]. And أَحْرَزْتُ المَتَاعَ
I put the goods into the
حِرْز. And أَنْفَسَكُمْ
Preserve ye, or guard ye, yourselves: [or do so strenuously; for it is said that] حرّزهُ, Verbal.Noun تَحْرِيزٌ, signifies he took extraordinary pains in keeping, preserving, or guarding, it. You say also أَحْرَزَتْ فَرْجَهَا
She guarded her pudendum; as though she put it in an inaccessible حِرْز. And احرز المَكَانُ الرَّجُلَ
The place protected the man; afforded him refuge; as also
حرّزهُ , Verbal.Noun تَحْرِيزٌ.
