اِخْتِيَارِىٌّ [Of, or relating to, the will, or choice]. صِفَةٌ ٱخْتِيَارِيَّةٌ [meaning A quality which originates from, or depends upon, the will, or choice, i. e. an acquired quality,] is opposed to خِلْقِيَّةٌ. (Msb in art. مدح, &c.)
