Full Definition

دَاهِيَةٌI , aor اَدُدَ and اَدِدَ but this latter is strange, [anomalous,] and unknown, and اَدَدَ mentioned by Lh, whence it seems that he made the pret. to be of the measure فَعِلَ, or that it is co-ordinate to أَبَى, aor يَأْبَى, Verbal.Noun أَدُّ, A calamity befell him. And in like manner, أَدَّهُ أَمْرٌ, Present.T and Verbal.Noun as above, An event befell him: or oppressed him, distressed him, or afflicted him.
