Full Definition
2 استوجب إثْمًا i. q. اِسْتَحَقِّهُ; (TA, in art. حق;) which means He did what necessitated sin; [was guilty of a sin;] and deserved its being said of him that he was a sinner.
3 رَكَبَ خَطِئَةً ٱسْتَوْجَبَ بِهَا النَّارَ [He committed a sin for which he became deserving of hell].
