استوفزX He put himself in an upright posture, not at his ease, in his manner of sitting; he sat erect, not at his ease: or he put down his knees [upon the ground] and raised his buttocks: or he raised himself upon his legs, or feet, without having yet set himself firmly in a standing posture, but having prepared himself to leap, or spring, or to go away: or he sat in a posture as though he desired to rise and stand up; whether in the manner termed إِقْعَآء [i. e. sitting upon the ground with the shanks erect], or otherwise.
