Full Definition

اصقعIV He entered upon [a time, or a tract, of] صَقِيع [i. e. hoar-frost, or rime].

def.2 And اصقع الصَّقِيعُ الأَرْضَ, and الشَّجَرَ, The صقيع [or hoar-frost] fell, or lighted, upon the earth, or ground, and the trees. And أُصْقِعَتِ الأَرْضُ: see 1, last sentence. And أُصْقِعَ النَّاسُ The men, or people, became overspread with the صَقِيع.
