Full Definition

اصلفIV i. q. قَلَّ خَيْرُهُ [His good things became few; or his wealth, or his goodness or beneficence, became little]: and so تصلّف .
2 And His soul, or spirit, (رُوحُهُ,) became heavy; and he became oppressed as though by the nightmare.
3 And He became one whose wife was not in favour with him, or not beloved by him.

def.2 اصلفها He hated her, namely, his wife; as also , or صَلَفَهَا, Present.T ـِ; the latter mentioned by IAmb: or اصلفهُ he hated him, namely, another man.
2 And اصلف نِسَآءَهُ He divorced his wives: and he made their share of his favours to be small.
3 And one says to a woman, أَصْلَفَ ٱللّٰهُ رُفْغَكِ, meaning May God make thee [or thy فَرْج or the like] to be hated by thy husband.

def.3 اصلف القَوْمُ, (thus in the O, on the authority of Ibn-'Abbád, [like أَحْزَنَ, and its contr. أَسْهَلَ, &c.,]) or تصلّف , The people, or party, became in the [kind of tract termed] صَلْفَآء.
