He treated him contemptuously with speech: and he overcame, and subdued, him therewith; and so اِغْتَطَّةُ.
2 And اغتمطهُ He vied, or contended, in running with him, and outstripped him, after he had been outstripped by him; mentioned by Ibn-'Abbád; and so اِغْتَطَّهُ; and أَغْمَضَهُ. (Ibn-'Abbád and O in art. غمض.
