Full Definition

اِلْتَفَّVIII It tangled; became confused, and caught, one part to another: or became luxuriant, or abundant; it became luxuriant, or abundant, and close together: [or thickly intermixed:] it became collected together, and dense; best rendered tangled, or luxuriant, or abundant and dense.
2 اِلْتَفَّ and He wrapped, or enwrapped, himself in, or with, a garment; i. q. اِشْتَمَلَ.
3 اِلْتَفَّ وَجْهُ الغُلَامِ means اِتَّصَلَتْ لِحْيَتُهُ [i. e. The face of the young man became continuous, or uninterrupted, in its beard].
4 اِلْتَفَّ It became complicated.
