املصIV , Verbal.Noun إِمْلَاصٌ, It made, or caused, to slip.
2 Hence, املصت جَنِينَهَا, or بِجَنيِنِهَا, or بِوَلَدِهَا, or املصت [alone], She brought forth her fœtus, or offspring, prematurely, or dead: i. q. أَزْلَقَتْ بِهِ and أَسْهَلَتْ بِهِ and حَطَأَتْ بِهِ.
3 املص also signifies He became poor, needy, or indigent.
