Full Definition

اوردهُIV , and , and تورّدهُ , He brought him to the watering-place.
2 Also, the first and second of these verbs, He brought him; made him to come, or to be present.
3 [And the first, He adduced it, or cited it; namely, an evidence, a speech or saying, a word, &c.
4 He set it forth, or expressed it; namely, a meaning.]
5 اوردهُ المَآءَ, (Verbal.Noun إِيرَادٌ, A.) He made him to come to the water. [See an ex. voce حَمْضٌ.]
6 اوردهُ الضَّلَالَةَ [He made him to run into error.
7 أَوْرَدَ عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا [He brought to him wealth, property, or what was good.] (Mugh, in art. حطب.)
8 اورد عَلَيْهِ الخَبَرَ He related to him the news.
9 اورد الشَّىْءَ He mentioned the thing.
10 أوْرَدَ وأَصْدَرَ He began and compelled. (TA, art. صدر)
11 اورده واصدره He brought it and he took it away.
