def.2 Lh mentions the saying, addressed to a pretty woman, إِنَّكِ لَجَمِيلَةٌ وَلَا تُبَاغِى, as meaning Verily thou art pretty, and mayest thou not be smitten by the [evil] eye: but accord. to some, the verb in this instance belongs to art. بوغ or art. بيغ. (TA in art. بوغ.)
